Lion Energy is hiring: Scrum Leader Intern in American Fork

POSITION SUMMARY:

We’re looking for a motivated Scrum Intern with an interest in technology project management and Agile methodologies. In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to gain hands-on experience with Scrum practices that enhance productivity, communication, and workflow efficiency. You’ll support the facilitation of Scrum ceremonies, maintain project boards, and assist in process improvements, helping our technology teams work smoothly and effectively.

The ideal candidate is near completion of a Bachelor’s degree, has completed a degree, or has a relevant certification such as CSPO or Project Management Bootcamp. The candidate should be able to demonstrate a foundational understanding of Agile and Scrum principles, ideally through case studies or a project portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Scrum Management: Assist with organizing and facilitating Scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, and release showcases.

• Traffic Control: Help manage and maintain Jira boards and tickets, ensuring tasks are up to date and tracking their progress through the sprint cycle.

• Backlog Assistance: Support dev managers by organizing and coordinating ticket creation, ensuring the backlog remains populated with relevant tasks.

• QA Pipeline Coordination: Ensure that all development tasks follow the QA pipeline, assisting the team in maintaining quality standards.

• Documentation: Provide summaries of Scrum meetings and assist in tracking process improvements to keep teams aligned.

• Reporting: Track sprint metrics and prepare sprint summaries to help management allocate resources.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

• Relevant certification and/or work experience will be considered in lieu of degree

• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum principles

• Basic understanding of project management tools like Jira or Trello

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Must live within commuting distance of American Fork, Utah
