Job Description

Nexeo is on the hunt for an exceptionally skilled Cabinet Painter/ Finisher to oversee and manage the paint bay for high-end custom cabinetry business. If you're passionate about craftsmanship, thrive in a leadership role, and have an eye for detail, this could be your next career step!

With a minimum of 5 years professional experience (8-10 year preferred), you'll bring your expertise in applying paints, stains, and custom finishes to create stunning cabinetry. This is your opportunity to lead a small team, influence creative designs, and leave a mark on truly custom projects for discerning clients.

Responsibilities

•Prepare wooden surfaces: sanding, priming, and perfecting them for a flawless finish.

•Apply an array of finishes: paints, stains, lacquers, glazes and custom treatments.

•Lead the paint bay, ensuring top-notch quality, efficiency, and project success.

• Collaborate with designers and production teams to deliver on unique, high-end client visions.

• Organize and maintain a clean, safe workspace, while adhering to strict safety protocols.

• Manage multiple projects and priorities to meet deadlines without compromising quality.

Qualifications

•Experience & Expertise: At least 5 years of cabinet finishing, with advanced knowledge of painting, staining, and glazing techniques.

• Leadership Skills: Ability to guide a small team, provide constructive feedback, and inspire high-quality work.

• Craftsmanship: Mastery in color mixing, matching, and custom finishing (be ready to showcase your skills in the interview).

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with modern finishing tools, techniques, and equipment.

• Communication: Clear, professional communication skills (English proficiency required).

• Adaptability: Willingness to learn and embrace new technologies and methods in cabinet finishing.

Pay

$60K - $80K Per Year

Schedule

Day shift | 45 -55 hours per week |Typically 6:30am – 3:00pm
