Job Description
This labor category is a highly hands-on technical position responsible for the engineering support of Apple Mac systems in both the Tier3 endpoint computing and Tier 4 infrastructure environments. Some of the key responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: Proactively manage a fleet of approximately 150 iMacs, Mac Pro desktops and MacBook Pro laptops. Primary Administrator for Mac Management Tool to include but not limited to JAMF, Intune and Absolute. Develop and document SOPs for MacOS including Mac setup, enrollment, deployment, and compliance policies. Desktop and laptop backup, restore and recovery. Proactively monitor Macs for known vulnerabilities in deployed configurations. Troubleshoot JAMF issues with Active Directory, server and security teams. Troubleshoot MDM enrollment issues with JAMF and Intune. Develop Mac images and perform enrollment and deployment. Add and edit Active Directory (AD) accounts and groups. ServiceNow ticket resolution and documentation. Write documentation including 'How-to' guides and SOPs for Mac setup and deployment. Test and verify SOPs and documentation. Provide engineering support with LAN, WAN and remote access issues for Mac systems deployment, configuration and cross platform integration including Active Directory and Open Directory (LDAP) management. Design and implement backup, archiving and cataloging solutions to protect working data and preserve completed projects. Recommend and perform legacy hardware upgrades and repairs. Maintenance and repair service for Mac OS servers, workstations, laptops, LANs and data backup. Provide solutions to business-critical computer, data and software challenges. Analyze IT requirements to identify areas for increased quality & efficiency. Recommend and implement improved procedures for service, repair, data preservation and disaster recovery on LANs, WANs and workstations. Identify software and data issues vs. hardware failures for MAC systems. Deploy patches and security remediations across the endpoint computing environment (windows, Mac and Mobile Devices). Validate software release process/technical procedures. Develop master images and deployment procedures. Develop and maintain compliance checklists for release of new software and/or configuration changes. Work with stakeholders for software deployment/updates in adherence with the Change Control Process. Responsible for within team communication of critical issues, documentation of process updates and best practices. Qualifications
Requires hands-on 5+ years of hands-on working knowledge in the following areas, in an environment with 1000+ MacOS and Microsoft Windows endpoint devices: Hands-on senior level experience with knowledge of multi-platform (MacOS, Microsoft Windows, and Mobile) operating systems and software. Hands-on senior level experience as JAMF and Intune Software Administrator for endpoint management, software configuration, and security compliance of endpoint devices. Hands-on senior level experience with technologies involved in software and operating system deployment in a large enterprise. Senior-level experience with Microsoft Excel (experience with Microsoft Access and/or any other advanced data manipulation solutions will be preferred). Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and endpoint performance management tools. Strong knowledge of endpoint security compliance and remediations. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to identify, research, and resolve simple to moderately complex technical support issues independently. Must be familiar with the latest hardware platforms and MAC operating systems for endpoint computing. Self-motivated and takes initiative. Apple Certified Service Professional and Mac Genius experience. Experience providing engineering support of Active Directory, DNS, and Microsoft client application components such as Office 365 and Power Apps on MACs. Experience with Active Directory including a strong foundation in AD directory service technologies, authoring of Group policies, and troubleshooting domain functions. Hands-on experience designing and configuring Microsoft Windows and Mac End User technology including Antivirus, patch management and other System Administration tools, including but not limited to Ivanti Endpoint Manager and JAMF. Experience developing detailed Mac Administrative standards, design, and implementation documentation. Experience capacity planning, performance monitoring and maintenance. Strong hands-on experience with endpoint security tools such as Nessus vulnerability scanner, Microsoft Defender, McAfee and encryption technologies. Additional Information
