We are offering a contract for a Business Analyst - Enterprise Business Systems role in the financial services industry, based in New York, New York, 10007-2277, United States. In this role, you will be instrumental in analyzing and improving business processes, building relationships with business partners and development teams, and playing an active role in key business initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing business requirements and transforming them into user stories and use cases
• Ensuring accurate documentation and maintenance of standards
• Collaborating with business and development teams to implement valuable features and solutions
• Applying your expertise in business analysis and requirements gathering to influence corporate projects
• Utilizing your leadership skills to provide functional guidance to development team members
• Operating in both Agile and Waterfall software development environments, including planning sprints and managing JIRA boards and backlogs
• Developing in-depth functional and technical knowledge in relevant applications
• Maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information and managing difficult situations effectively
• Building and nurturing relationships with business partners and development teams
• Continuously working towards the improvement of business processes within the organization.• Proficient in Documentation, able to clearly articulate business requirements and project details.
• Strong Planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Solid understanding of Finance, preferably within the Financial Services industry.
• Demonstrated Leadership Skills, with the capacity to guide and motivate a team.
• Engineering or Computer Sciences background is beneficial to understand the technical aspects of the role.
• Ability to maintain Confidentiality, particularly when dealing with Sensitive Information.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, including Sprints, Backlog Grooming, and User Stories.
• Proven Business Analysis skills, with a focus on Requirement Analysis and Elicitation.
• Familiarity with Business Process Functions and the ability to generate effective Use Cases.
• Proficiency in JIRA or similar project management software.
• Experience working with Business Partners and Development Teams on various Business Initiatives.
• Ability to Builds Relationships with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
• Comfortable handling Difficult Situations, demonstrating problem-solving skills and resilience.
