Robert Half is hiring: Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst in Pittsburgh

We are offering a contract to hire position as a Financial Analyst in the Hi Tech Engineering industry, based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (South Hills Area). The Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and developing financial models and dashboards. This is a hybrid position where you will interact closely with various departments to ensure financial forecasting and reporting aligns with the organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizing large data sets, setup KPI's and build out budgeting models

• Analyze subscription revenue, client profitability, and cost allocations to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

• Prepare financial reports to guide management in strategic decision-making.

• Develop and optimize financial models and dashboards in Power BI to offer real-time insights into key performance metrics.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate revenue recognition and financial reporting.

• Assist in the budgeting process, aligning it with organizational objectives.

• Engage in cost accounting activities, scrutinizing costs associated with products or services.

• Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, pinpointing variances and trends.

• Maintain organized documentation of financial processes and reports for auditing purposes.

• Conduct regulatory reporting to guarantee compliance with financial regulations.

• Provide insights on sales performance, aiding in revenue growth strategies.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in BusinessObjects Technologies is a must

• Demonstrable skills in Data Visualization are required

• Prior experience with Power BI is a must

• Knowledge and experience in AB Testing is necessary

• Proficient in Ad Hoc Reporting

• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies

• Strong background in Analytics is a must

• Extensive knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) is crucial

• Experience with Atlassian Jira is highly desirable

• Experience as an MSP (or other 3rd party provider) is a plus
