The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally to screen healthy donor blood to manufacture CAR-T cell drug products, provide testing support to in-house studies, method development, and technical transfers to external organizations. This role will report to the Senior Scientist and will be primarily on-site at our facility in Berkeley, CA. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare samples and perform assays to screen healthy donor blood by ddPCR for use in downstream manufacturing Execute in-house testing and analyze data Support the development of sensitive and robust analytical test methods to screen healthy donor cells, release drug products and critical materials, characterize drug products, study stability, and optimize manufacturing processes Support method transfer, training, and qualification activities at external testing facilities Write test method procedures, protocols, and development reports Minimum Qualifications: BS degree in biochemistry or molecular cell biology Minimum 2+ years of laboratory experience Experience performing analytical methods such as ddPCR, qPCR, cell culture, and ELISA Experience in cell-based bioassay, flow cytometry, and Luminex is a plus Ability to work independently on projects and take initiatives Good writing/presentation skills and electronic notebook skills Caribou compensation and benefits include: Comprehensive compensation package, which includes competitive salary, bonus, and equity for all employees Salary Range: $80,000 to $95,000. This represents the present low and high end of the Company’s pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location, skill, experience, and performance.
