POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, has a leading support role in the building, integration, and maintenance of custom-built software applications and integrations used by both Associates and our Members. The Technical Business Analyst II will act as the bridge between business and technology, working with various business stakeholders to capture user stories and requirements and translating those requirements into functional and technical specification. This position works in close collaboration with the Product Management team and the Software Engineering and Quality Assurance teams to support the evolution of our digital platforms.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve systems and processes.
  • Analyze and document current and future business processes, using wireframes, user stories, and formal business requirements documentation to do so, and identify and recommend areas of potential improvement.
  • Interact with Product Teams to ensure functional requirements are sound, complete and consumable by the software engineering and quality assurance teams. This includes ensuring the requirements meet the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Communicate business requirements to technical team, and assist with defining appropriate technical requirements to implement proposed solutions.
  • Facilitate regular Scrum activities, which include leading daily stand-up meetings, manage the team’s sprint backlog, promote the removal impediments that block team members from completing tasks, and conduct sprint retrospective meetings.
  • Manage assigned service requests, closely track status, and help prioritize work in order to meet deadlines.
  • Perform and facilitate white box and black box quality assurance testing of code changes to ensure behavior matches documented requirements. To support quality assurance testing, create and maintain regression test scripts.
  • Assist with system support and troubleshooting of supported applications.
  • Construct workflow charts and wireframes for applications; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
  • Proactively help identify and resolve production-related system issues, as well as coordinate application maintenance activities in accordance with the organizations systems development lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience/ Training/ Education:

  • BS in Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a technical role, or related certification.
  • 3-5 years of experience in software analysis and design or technical business analysis with requirements gathering and formal documentation experience.
  • Financial industry operations experience, particularly within a credit union, preferred

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven ability to understand and explain issues from both a technical and a business functional perspective.
  • Must have personal computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Detailed knowledge of the Agile Scrum Software Development Lifecycle activities and practices, and the ability to facilitate Scrum activities. Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, Azure DevOps, ClickUp, Microsoft 365, and Teams
  • Demonstrated ability to create wire-frames, user stories, process workflows, and business requirements documentation. Experience with Figma is highly desirable.

The targeted hourly range is $40.00 Per Hour to $48.00 Per Hour. Final offer will be determined based on experience, education, training/certifications and specialized skills.
