REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Enterprise Strategy & IT
STATUS: Full-time, Exempt
RANGE: $80,000 - $100,000

Brooklyn Law is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with strong business analysis capabilities and expertise in documentation processes to lead and manage complex IT projects and enhance business processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with Ellucian Colleague or similar ERP systems and demonstrate proficiency in supported third-party applications. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this role is pivotal in overseeing the planning, execution, and implementation of various IT projects and initiatives. Additionally, the role involves creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation to support project initiatives, ensure alignment with business needs, and facilitate effective application management and integration.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the planning, execution, and implementation of complex IT projects and programs.
- Maintain control over project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and issues, and provide recommendations for improvements and change management.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, delivering high-quality results.
- Work on multiple concurrent projects using defined project management methodologies, assuming lead responsibility for project research, analysis, implementation, and support.
- Collaborate with business and academic units to understand technology and process riskspro, issues, requirements, and priorities.
- Translate business and academic needs into technical requirements and work with technical teams to address these needs.
- Document and analyze business processes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring alignment with ongoing technology initiatives.
- Develop and maintain documentation required for onboarding, installing, supporting, and maintaining applications.
- Support and maintain IT applications and data governance, ensuring data integrity and effective application use.
- Provide report writing and administrative assistance critical to daily operations, including during system upgrades and maintenance.
- Serve as an advanced product expert for supported third-party applications, managing relationships with application owners, resources, and software vendors.
- Support IT-related change management efforts, including training and developing documentation.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions during changes and updates.
- Anticipate customer needs and work closely with them to develop quality test plans for implementations, upgrades, or modifications.
- Act as the primary contact for information about application use, capabilities, and fit with user workflows.
- Work with customers to identify and diagnose problems, developing solutions for simple to complex business issues that may span multiple departments.
- Participate as an application area expert on new application project teams and manage application refreshes, new software releases, and general system upgrades.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) preferred.
- Proven experience with Ellucian Colleague or similar ERP systems.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex IT projects and performing business analysis.
- Strong understanding of business processes with effective documentation and analysis skills.
- Advanced technical expertise in various applications and business areas through project participation and application support activity.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
- Ability to anticipate customer needs and develop solutions for complex business problems.
Preferred:
- Experience in higher education or legal education environments.
