Position Overview
The Director of Operations will oversee Flexpak's operations across all locations, driving excellence in production, distribution, and supply chain functions. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to optimize operational efficiency, ensure high-quality standards, and support Flexpak’s growth objectives. You will work closely with the CEO to align operational goals with organizational strategy, creating a collaborative and customer-centric environment.
Compensation:
$120,000 annually
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support company growth across all locations.
Lead initiatives to enhance production, quality control, and safety standards companywide.
Team Management:
Oversee and mentor General Managers, Operations Managers and Supervisors, fostering a high-performance culture.
Establish clear expectations and provide coaching to ensure teams meet performance and customer satisfaction goals.
Manufacturing and Production Oversight:
Oversee and develop manufacturing processes for operations, including kitting, fulfillment, corrugated manufacturing, and foam fabrication to meet Flexpak’s quality and efficiency standards.
Manage production scheduling and inventory to align manufacturing output with customer demand, optimizing the balance between distribution and in-house production.
Process Optimization:
Analyze and refine operational processes to improve workflow, reduce waste, and ensure timely delivery of products.
Implement continuous improvement practices, leveraging data and KPIs to monitor progress.
Focus on optimizing manufacturing-specific processes to reduce costs and streamline the integration of kitting, assembly, and packaging across multiple locations.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards, promoting a safe working environment.
Oversee the maintenance and readiness of equipment across all production facilities.
Financial Oversight:
Manage costs, and track expenditures.
Contribute to financial planning and forecasting, aligning resources with strategic objectives.
Quality and Inventory Management:
Implement and oversee quality control programs, ensuring Flexpak's standards are consistently met.
Manage inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and efficient use of resources across locations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the sales, marketing, and customer service teams to align operations with business goals.
Act as a liaison between operations and other departments, supporting organizational unity and clear communication.
Reporting and Analysis:
Regularly review and report KPIs to the CEO and executive team.
Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and recommendations for operational improvements.
Qualifications:
Proven leadership experience in an operations or production management role, preferably within distribution or manufacturing.
Demonstrated success in multi-site management.
Strong knowledge of process optimization, quality control, and safety compliance.
Financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and resource management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus but not required.
