Job Description:

The SAP FICO Specialist will be responsible for executing the migration from our current SAP environment to SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP upgrades, particularly with S/4HANA, and will ensure that the transition is smooth, timely, and aligned with the company’s business goals. This role involves hands-on technical work, coordination with cross-functional teams, and close collaboration with the IT and business departments.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the full lifecycle of the SAP S/4HANA upgrade project, including planning, execution, testing, and deployment.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define the upgrade strategy, system requirements, and business impacts.
  • Perform system upgrades and migrations from the existing SAP platform to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance business teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and processes.
  • Conduct data migration, system configuration, and technical optimizations as part of the upgrade.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the upgrade and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Provide post-upgrade support and troubleshooting to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Train and mentor internal staff on SAP functionality, processes, and best practices.
  • Document the upgrade process, configurations, and any customizations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of relevant experience working with finance and accounting teams.
  • 5+ years of specialized experience with FICO modules (SAP or equivalent systems).
  • 1+ major project implementing SAP.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex business processes and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and cost controlling.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience in system configuration, data migration, and SAP troubleshooting.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, operations, and supply chain.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP certification in S/4HANA or related areas.
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise SAP environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based SAP solutions and infrastructure.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with high visibility projects to help PCI achieve its long-term goals.
