Overview: Business Analyst to drive a new Data Lake warehouse project supporting our internal sales performance application. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a background in sales performance analysis and financial planning who can bridge business needs with technical requirements. Candidates with experience in subscription-based sales environments or organizations like S&P, Gartner, or Looker will stand out. This role is mostly remote but may require 1-2 office visits over the contract duration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Analysis: Gather, analyze, and document requirements through user stories, use cases, and sprint planning.
- Collaborative Development: Partner with business stakeholders and development teams to implement high-value features and solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
- Business Process Improvement: Drive process enhancements and support the development of efficient business workflows.
- Leadership: Act as a liaison between business teams and development, offering insights from the business user perspective to inform technical decisions.
- Agile & Waterfall Methodologies: Manage JIRA boards, plan sprints, prioritize backlog items, and ensure agile best practices.
- Documentation & Standards: Create and uphold documentation standards, ensuring clarity and consistency.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field (Graduate degree preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years in enterprise sales systems, with a focus on sales planning, financial planning, and overall sales strategy.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with SQL and Data Lake/Warehousing concepts
- Familiarity with Databricks
- Experience with JIRA, including sprint writing and backlog management
- Exposure to sales analytics within subscription-based models
- Business Acumen: Knowledge of financial planning, sales analysis, and data reconciliation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Quality Assurance: Prior experience in QA to support testers in writing effective test cases.
- Salesforce Project Experience: Familiarity with Salesforce-related projects.
- Data Visualization: Power BI experience a plus.
Interview Process:
- Round 1: Interview with a Business Analyst (focus on business concepts, forecasting, and database knowledge).
- Round 2: Follow-up with the Hiring Manager and Senior Director.
