Job Highlights
Manage & develop technical and engineering concepts, scope and cost in early project phases of relevant process improvements and capacity expansions within LAB globally. Leading of medium sized engineering projects (250-3 Mio € project costs) and collaboration as Project Engineer in bigger engineering projects. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate project viability and provide recommendations for project execution. Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective project execution including sourcing of third party resources. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives/projects, plant support & driving innovation and efficiency in project management processes and practices. Act as liaison between Rubicon and Lanxess. Ensure Lanxess interests regarding DPA and Aniline are looked after at Rubicon site. Work with Rubicon teams to ensure spirit of Lanxess directives are followed at Rubicon. Participate in and provide feedback on incident and near miss investigations related to Lanxess interests on site. Establish standards for maintenance backlog in DPA and Aniline areas. Work with Rubicon team to ensure enough resources are in place to support requirements. Review and approve specific larger maintenance tasks (spend). Work with process engineering group to identify process improvements, and drive implementation. Includes carbon reduction projects. Ensure Risk based mechanical integrity program at Rubicon is fully supported at Rubicon and within Lanxess to allow required inspections per codes and good engineering practice. Regularly review results from inspections for current issues, potential issues and work with Rubicon team for short term and long term solutions. Ensure housekeeping in Lanxess production areas are maintained to Lanxess standards. Review monthly OEE data and work with Rubicon engineering team to develop solutions for bad actors. Prioritize CAPEX projects based on available funding, impacts to safety, environment, reliability, cost savings, production increases. Manage CAPEX process within Lanxess for Rubicon projects and support product management and sales teams with cost analysis and quality data as needed. Interface with Lanxess and Rubicon supply chain groups to ensure customer demand can be satisfied. Track orders, rail cars to provide guidance on upcoming issues. Ensure DPA asset is capable of producing to 5 year production forecast. Work with JV partner procurement organization regarding critical raw and byproduct agreements. Review turn around budgets, timing, and scope. Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering degree. 5 plus years of experience in process engineering in chemical industry. Proven experience in managing complex engineering projects on a global scale, preferably in Chemical Engineering. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail, project management skills, including project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and change management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate cross-functional project teams. What we offer you Compensation:
