Production Support Engineer (C++, Java, MQ)
Location:
Seattle, WA Job Description: Strong experience in Linux, Unix, shell scripting. Strong experience troubleshooting Java and C++ based applications. Must have experience in middleware technologies e.g. CORBA, AIX, MQ, File transfer. Experience in L2/L3 Incident management and release management. Experience handling legacy and complex applications. Responsibilities: Coordinate with System Administrators and Infrastructure Teams to install applications/software. Manage data centers, backups, and work with onsite and offshore teams, including system alerts and monitoring. Set up environments and manage releases as per Block point requirements. Implement disaster recovery strategies. Administer passwords and permissions. Create long-range disaster recovery plans. Conduct customer feedback surveys. Manage and monitor system performance, proactively ensuring secure services with minimum downtime. Set up and maintain documentation and standards. Conduct performance analysis and tuning; implement best practices on current systems. Provide L2/L3 ticket support. Troubleshoot and resolve issues within SLA.
