We’re seeking a future team member in the position of
Vice President, Business Strategy & Portfolio Management
to join our
Chief Operating Officer team
. This role is based in New York, NY - Hybrid schedule.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Develop the vision, strategy and roadmap for Treasury Services, in alignment with long-term goals for the business, as well as firm-wide strategic and financial objectives.
Conduct market research, competitive intelligence & data analysis, and partner with key internal and external stakeholders, to identify business opportunities including growth (e.g., market entry), innovation (e.g., product launch) and operating model optimization (e.g., organization, processes, systems).
Manage multiple project engagements, and partner with Head of Strategy & COO to generate new pipeline opportunities for the business.
Contribute strategic updates for high-priority deliverables, such as board presentations, regulatory updates and leadership conferences.
Partner with Sales, Finance, Product and Technology / Data teams to enable timely execution of agreed strategies and monitor progress, in collaboration with Portfolio Management Office.
Maintain a holistic view of the business portfolio, manage process to review and prioritize new investments (business cases), and develop frameworks / KPIs / scorecards to measure performance (e.g., ROI).
Contribute to the target state design of strategic tooling to support Product roadmaps and Sales CRM.
Share insights on key industry trends, competitive landscape and regulatory environment on an ongoing basis to generate thought leadership and inform strategic decision-making.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
5-7 years of work experience required in Strategy, preferably within Financial Services, Consulting and/or FinTech Industry; understanding of the Payments landscape and Technology is a plus.
Excellent strategic & analytical mindset required to break down complex problems, apply quantitative & qualitative data and propose implementable solutions for Senior Management.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and prioritize according to business needs.
Experience in program management / portfolio management / business performance is a plus.
Passionate about building relationships and strong professional maturity / EQ to navigate across business functions and seniority levels.
Strong verbal & written communication and high proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (including PowerPoint and Excel); experience with other business tools (e.g., JIRA, Tableau, CRM) is a plus.

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $66,000 and $130,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
