Direct Support Professional III - HCBS - SLEEP overnight

Start your evening assisting clients with evening routines, then sleep overnight, unless clients need support, in the morning help them with morning routines before leaving for the day.

Average Pay: $23.04 - $25.08 per hour (blended between regular and premium pay rates).

Full-Time Positions Available:

  • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy an average of 203 days off per year with a 3-day work week or 152 days off per year with a 4-day work week.
  • Premium Pay: Earn 1.5 times the base wage for weekend hours.
  • Wage Range: $19.75-$21.50 per hour.

Schedule options include:

- Base wage of $17.75:

  • Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed

- Base wage of $18.25:

  • Thurs, Fri, Sat

About us:

Hills & Dales is a non-profit organization dedicated to building meaningful lives for individuals with disabilities. We are seeking passionate Direct Support Professional III's to support and teach skills and behaviors to maximize independence in activities of daily living for a caseload of persons served.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Daily Living Skills: Help individuals gain independence in self-care and daily activities.

  • Behavior Management: Reduce unwanted behaviors and teach alternatives using approved methods.

  • Health Support: Maintain hygiene and grooming, provide first aid, and administer medications if certified.

  • Documentation: Record support provided and compliance with health standards accurately.

  • Engagement Activities: Actively involve individuals in age-appropriate activities and community outings.

  • Housekeeping: Keep the environment clean and safe through laundry, cooking, and cleaning.

  • Financial Records: Maintain accurate financial records for clients.

  • Medication Assistance: Help with medications as prescribed, following training.

  • Meeting Participation: Attend and provide input at meetings.

  • Professional Boundaries: Maintain appropriate boundaries with clients and staff.

  • Support Choice-Making: Encourage and assist with client choices and activity calendars.

  • Confidentiality: Protect client data and comply with HIPAA standards.

  • Pet Support: Follow goals related to pets or service animals.

  • Follow Policies: Adhere to all organizational policies and values.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated concern for others and alignment with the mission of Hills & Dales.
  • Ability to assertively communicate and advocate for clients.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and valid insurance.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check, drug screen, and driving record check.
