The Opportunity: As the Director of Global Supply Chain, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our supply chain strategy on a global scale. You will lead cross-functional teams to optimize the end-to-end supply chain processes, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure alignment with business objectives. This position demands a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities and a deep understanding of global supply chain dynamics. You will lead a high-performing team of professionals and managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. This role can be remote with 25% travel. What we're looking for Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of managing global supply chains in a complex, fast-paced environment. Experience in implementing supply chain technologies and tools, such as ERP systems. Understanding of forecast and replenishment theory, obtained through APICS or similar training coursework. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, with a focus on talent development. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Familiarity with global supply chain regulations, compliance, and risk management strategies. APICS or other relevant supply chain certification preferred. Experience in sustainability practices within the supply chain preferred. Knowledge of logistics and distribution networks on a global scale preferred. Lead and mentor a diverse team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Supply Chain Management: Oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs while maintaining high levels of customer service and quality. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize supplier relationships and ensure supply chain resilience. Risk Management: Assess potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions. Stay informed about global supply chain trends, regulations, and best practices to proactively address challenges. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, sales, marketing, and finance, to ensure alignment and integration of supply chain activities. Serve as the primary point of contact for supply chain-related inquiries and issues, facilitating effective communication across departments. Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain performance and drive improvements. Implement advanced planning and forecasting tools to enhance visibility and responsiveness across the supply chain. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation by identifying and implementing new technologies and processes that enhance supply chain efficiency. Lead initiatives aimed at sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of supply chain operations.
