Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

Dress/Equipment Needed: Safety equipment is provided, must wear at all times. Must have clean work clothes & steel toe boots. Must own Weld equipment.

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our team. The Structural Welder will be responsible for welding and assembling structural steel components used in building and industrial applications. This role requires technical welding expertise, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality, durable structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding operations on structural steel using various welding methods (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) according to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings to ensure proper alignment, dimensions, and fit of materials.
  • Set up welding equipment, including adjustment of voltage, amperage, and other settings to ensure high-quality welds.
  • • Inspect and test welds to verify quality, accuracy, and adherence to safety and industry standards.
  • Operate cutting and shaping equipment such as grinders, saws, and torches for preparation and finishing.
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper PPE usage, and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely project completion and address any technical challenges.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience as a structural welder, preferably in construction or manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) and familiarity with a range of metals.
  • Strong understanding of welding symbols, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools for metal fabrication and finishing.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in various positions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in structural welding (e.g., AWS D1.1) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and welding best practices.
