Amotec is currently supporting a search for a Manufacturing/Production Manager. Located near Harrisburg, PA, our client is an industry-leading manufacturing company. As the Manufacturing/Production Manager, you will oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations and facility management, ensuring excellence in product quality, cost efficiency, safety, and employee relations.
Production Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a high-performing manufacturing team to deliver exceptional customer service at optimal cost, while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Manage employee development and training, plant scheduling, recruiting, terminations, customer communications, root cause analysis, financial tracking, safety protocols, supplier evaluations, and continuous process improvement.
- Drive the Lean Manufacturing journey within the plant, focusing on daily incremental improvements, employee engagement, capacity enhancement, visual management, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
- Oversee inventory control of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods to ensure operational efficiency and minimal waste.
- Coach and develop supervisors and team leaders to align their managerial skills with company objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments and levels of the organization to achieve facility and company-wide goals.
- Maintain the physical plant and grounds to uphold good manufacturing practices and professional standards.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental permits related to the manufacturing process and facility operations.
Manufacturing Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred; Associate's degree required.
- Proficient in Lean Manufacturing principles and problem-solving methodologies.
- Demonstrated leadership ability in selecting, coaching, and developing employees, conducting performance appraisals, and setting strategic goals.
- Familiarity with ERP systems; SAP proficiency is a bonus.
- Proven track record of setting strategic direction and leading teams towards operational excellence.
