Key Accountabilities

 Food Processing Plant is looking for a full-time Manufacturing Manager. Initial responsibilities will be to assist with planning and oversight of a new production room and line installation along with other key building improvements. Once building improvements and production line fabrication and installation are complete The Manufacturing Manager will assist in hiring for all positions required to begin manufacturing. The Manufacturing Manager will ensure that production of products meets or exceeds efficiency and company quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall results for manufacturing operations and resources for a manufacturing line(s); directly mentors and coach’s other leaders who are accountable for shift performance on the line.
  • Foster a culture of Safety-First utilizing Employee Involvement and a Passion for Safety every day.
  • Model and promote behaviors that ensure delivery of high-quality products for our customers while championing compliance with policies and procedures, meeting all local and statutory requirements.
  • Establish key performance measures and hold accountability for line budgetary decisions.
  • Track, trend, and continuously improve key performance measures.
  • Establish financial performance goals for areas such as OEE, labor, downtime, units per hour, CIP, and material usage (Note: This list is not all-inclusive)
  • Directly supervise the team and lead staffing activities
  • Assures team members are trained and understand duties, responsibilities, and performance against established expectations.
  • Provide timely coaching, counseling, and feedback.
  • Takes personal accountability to consistently meet and/or exceed manufacturing performance expectations and is an acknowledged expert in delivering key performance metrics and training and developing others to meet organizational requirements of leaders.
  • Play a lead role during audits and site visits for internal to Corp and external resources as required.
  • Manage the facility to be in compliance with OSHA regulations (Lock out/Tag out, Safety, MSDS). 
  • Responsible for ensuring the facility operates meeting, regulatory requirements of Federal, State and Local governments, as well as certifications such as Kosher, Organic, or SQF as needed.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Five years of Food Manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of SQF, GMP’s, HACCP and Food Safety preferred.
  • Knowledge of Food Pumps and Liquid Fillers.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Good Communication Skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
  • Must have fortitude to work in a fast paced, challenging food manufacturing environment
  • Excellent Organization skills and good attention to detail a must
  • Fork Lift experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Flexible Hours.
