Job DescriptionMGS has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our MGS Richfield team. The Manufacturing Engineer at the MGS Richfield facility improves production processes by root cause analysis, documentation, process design, planning, quality control, operations management, and problem solving.Are you inspired by the ability to make a difference? Now is your chance to work as part of a new project development launch for a large, highly regarded healthcare customer on a program that that makes a difference to our team, our customers and their patients!Below are additional duties and responsibilities:Create work instructions (written or visual) for processes performed by Operators and Mechanics.Contribute to Continuous Improvement projects through data collection and problem solving.Review production information to understand methods, processes and activities on the production floor. This includes - but is not limited to - production schedules, P.M. schedules, product process flows and engineering specs.Design and update production work cells to resolve production issues and eliminate waste.Assist with creation and review of systems to ensure products meet quality control/quality assurance standards.Develop production standards for new products by working with NPI teams.Identify and provide solutions to scrap and downtime issues.Understand and develop working knowledge of ERP system (IQMS.)Either independently or at direction of engineering manager, develop solutions to solve scrap and downtime problems as assigned.Develop into CI leader on the production floor.Any other duties as assigned.About MGSAs a global provider of healthcare manufacturing solutions, MGS provides the right balance to drive vital innovations: robust end-to-end solutions combined with the strong customer focus and seamless collaboration of an agile partner. Completion of an accredited two-year technical college program, or a four-year university program, in a related field of study is highly preferred.Minimum of 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, is preferred.Working knowledge of injection molding and assembly processes, is preferred.Troubleshooting skills.Mechanical skills.Advanced knowledge of machines and tools, as well as their designs and uses, is preferred.Ability to design and understand precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models, is preferred.Cell layout and product flow optimization skills, is preferred.Broad knowledge of production processes.Ability to thrive simultaneously in production and NPI areas.MGS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Job BenefitsTo learn more about MGS Mfg.
