Job Description
Our client, a leading transportation company, is currently seeking an ambitious Manufacturing Engineer to help lead their team. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated candidate with a go-getter attitude and a drive to succeed. Responsibilities include:
1) Lead and implement continuous improvement, lean, and kaizen events to reach established goals and incentives in various value streams by following safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity guidelines
2) Find ways to automate processes using robotics and other sources
3) Manage and oversee environmental processes and reporting
4) Develop relationships with subordinates that will result in a cohesive team that understands the company's direction, goals and vision
5) Develop processes that will reduce costs and increase efficiencies as a manufacturing engineer
6) Develop processes that meet or exceed quality requirements
7) Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality
8) Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations
9) Perform other duties as assigned
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the transportation industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in manufacturing engineering
