Job Summary:
The Director of Manufacturing will oversee the day-to-day activities of the manufacturing of our products, ensuring that production, productivity, and quality standards are consistently met or exceeded. This role will ensure that resources, equipment, and processes are in place to deliver production requirements
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Participates in the hiring and training of production managers.
- Works closely with functional partners on production schedule, resource management, improvement implementation
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Engages in all leadership trainings, meetings, and initiatives.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides strategic direction and leadership to the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company’s manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Continuously evaluates manufacturing processes; develop, implement, and improve manufacturing strategies to optimize productivity, minimize costs, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day manufacturing operations.
- Ensures work environments are adequate and safe.
- Oversees manufacturing, production control and EH&S, ensuring each is reaching goals set by departmental and company leadership.
- Plans, directs, controls, implements, evaluates, monitors, and forecasts budgets and resources for each product line and production department to achieve financial objectives.
- Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for major changes, meets with entire manufacturing operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
- Leads coordination and integration of efforts among manufacturing operations, engineering, project management, purchasing, materials, technology, and quality divisions to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.
- Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in business and manufacturing.

- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree in preferred.
- Extensive and diversified background with at least 10 years of related experience in engineering AND manufacturing environment.
- At least 5 years of Operations Management experience
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Salary Range:
$170,000 - $200,000 per year
