Job Summary:
Trane Technologies is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer III in La Crosse, WI. As the Manufacturing Engineer-Transformation, you will design and develop manufacturing processes and systems focused on exceeding quality, cost and schedule requirements within the manufacturing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze current production processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize line flow and reduce bottlenecks
- Lead 5S initiatives to create and maintain organized, clean, and efficient workspaces
- Ensure processes are standardized and that teams adhere to established standards
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
- Facilitate Kaizen events and other Lean activities to drive continuous improvement
- Train and mentor employees on Lean principles, 5S, and standard work practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and sustain Lean initiatives
- Develop and maintain documentation, including process maps, standard work instructions, and training materials
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for further improvement.
- Develop manufacturing planning, initial tooling requirements and costs, capability requirements, control plans, and assessments, which facilitate the definition and specification of the manufacturing processes
- Develop and implement manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts and organization, and station controls, which optimize value added operations, operating costs, and product / process quality
- Integrate closely with various functional team members collaborating while enhancing design for manufacturability and ease of integration to manufacturing facility.
- Provide technical expertise and leadership for the timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems. Serve as a resource for cause / effect analyses, investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Previous manufacturing experience required
- Project Management and AutoCad experience is required
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability to implement Lean-Six Sigma processes
- Aptitude for mechanical/electrical application as related to equipment/processes
