THE WORK
Support manufacturing team in a fast paced production environment
Provide technical support and leadership for manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing , and continuous improvements
Lead process improvement and digital transformation initiatives
Identify root causes and corrective action of technical production problems
Engage in proposals and cost estimates
Coordinate across functions and programs to achieve business goals
Support and have opportunity to lead non-recurring projects through the entire lifecycle from design and prototype through production

You are a highly motivated and collaborative Manufacturing Engineer with a proven track record of driving process improvements, leveraging Lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize production workflows, and are successful at effectively coordinating across functions to deliver operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications:
Experienced Manufacturing Engineer with knowledge of industry standards and best practices of manufacturing processes, procedures, process improvement, and strategic planning
Strong organization skills, verbal & written communications skills with ability to work with multiple levels of management, peers, internal and external customers
Demonstrated leadership or project management skills and solving technical problems
Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

Desired Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles / flow, 6S, and continuous improvement
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
Demonstrated technical writing and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
Experience supporting cost estimates (e.g. proposal inputs, savings estimates)
Experience with Production systems (EPDM, SAP, Solumina)
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes for radar assembly, electronic assemblies, microelectronics, or launcher production
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
