Our global Fortune 500 manufacturing client is seeking candidates for a newly created role of Manufacturing Quality Engineer. This position will lead quality projects engaging plant operations, and suppliers leveraging problem-solving techniques to improve and sustain plant quality performance metrics. As a key driver of quality improvements within the site, this role will directly impact the business as an integral part in the drive for zero defects quality performance. The schedule for this role is M-F, 7:30a - 5p. Very little travel is required for this role. The plant will become a climate-controlled facility in the coming months. This role offers the potential for future career growth.

Responsibilities
- Lead or support process assessments and other performance improvement activities
- Support reviews on quality performance metrics identifying and driving improvements with the use of data analytics and problem-solving tools
- Participate in quality performance and project status reviews of quality projects
- Assist in validation of the implementation of corrective / improvement actions across our value stream when needed, to assess the effectiveness of improvements.
- Support deployment of risk mitigation activities to identify proactively and address potential quality risks
- Monitor operational metrics, and customer/supplier performance promptly to address potential issues.
- BS in Engineering or other closely related technical field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a Quality Engineer role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong preference for experience with ISO 13485 or IATF 16949
- FDA background preferred but NOT required
- Injection blow molding experience preferred but NOT required
- Green belt/black belt certification
- Experience with Process FMEA
- Salary range $90,000 - $110,000
