Position: Manufacturing Plant Engineer

Duration: 12 month + possible extensions

Location: Dearborn & Marshall MI

Schedule:

• Hybrid 1st 8 months - 3 days a week in Dearborn MI
• In person 2nd 12 + months, 5 days a week in Marshall MI - 10 hours OT per week
• Will not require a ton of weekend work

Must Haves:

• Experience with large scale project installation of equipment/machinery
• 3+ years of system integration experience, specifically integrating machines
• Strong electrical engineer background
• Strong knowledge of US electrical code
• Plant engineering experience
• Strong communication skills
• Strong project management skills, will be managing projects with 20 different companies + teams

Daily Tasks until June 2025 in Dearborn:

• Attend BME team meetings
• Answer emails & design questions throughout the day
• Meet with suppliers to discuss design issues
• Meet with plant launch team to review current plans (Controls & IT)
• Review / Discuss various topics with IT, Facilities, and Process teams
• Call into meetings with teams in China as needed during their workday (evening/night here)

Daily Tasks after June 2025 in Marshall:

• Attend daily installation / launch huddle
• Attend BME team meetings
• Complete machine safety signoff
• Follow up on incomplete machine safety items
• Complete checks for signoff in the Ford machine identification & acceptance system
• Close out open Controls items
• Assist with machine & equipment startup
• Assist with networking & communication issues
• Organize and document Controls (PC / Controller backups, drawings, etc.) systems
