1st Shift (7am to 3:30pm)
We're currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II for a leading automotive manufacturer in Hillside, IL. As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will play a vital role in developing quality control procedures, improving production metrics, and working collaboratively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to enhance design and production standards.
Base Salary - $80k to 100k

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related field (strongly preferred)
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in an assembly manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the Automotive Industry standards, particularly IATF 16949 (preferred)
- Project management experience, with the ability to lead process development from start to finish.
- Proficiency in business and management principles, including budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources.
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and its application in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
- Ability to identify and lead lean continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce waste
Responsibilities:
- Process Development Project Management – ensuring completion from start to finish
- Supports product launch activities
- Review engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services
- Define how to manufacture parts or products, or deliver services, with maximum efficiency
- Develop quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs
- Work with customers and management to develop standards for design and production
- Confer with clients concerning product specifications, vendors about purchases, management personnel about manufacturing capabilities, and staff about the status of projects
- Develop, recommend, and implement initiatives to improve production metrics and financial performance
- Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors
- Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes
- Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
- Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians
