Job Description
A senior leader and management representative of the company for a Total Preventative Maintenance System. Implements and audits the effectiveness of manufacturing equipment and maintenance procedures to ensure maximum equipment uptime with minimal equipment upkeep cost. Proactively manage the MRO for the plant (multiple locations) and effectively leads the Maintenance department by training and upskilling where necessary, and coaches and develops Technicians that support Press and Assembly operations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Sets up systems to monitor the operation of all plant equipment
· Reviews the operation of plant equipment and system constantly to assure;
o Minimal unplanned downtime
o Anticipate and solve problems to root cause in a timely manner
o Identify opportunities for improvement
o Develop, implement, and constantly improve a computerized TPM system
· Initiates, implements, and manages the plant maintenance program based on best practices in the industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventative/predictive maintenance
· Maintains and repairs all plant equipment as needed
· Draws on outside industry experts without hesitancy when needed
· Establishes and maintains a computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment. Reviews weekly reports to ensure timeliness of completion of important work orders that support equipment uptime
· Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and root cause problem solving of maintenance related problems
· Ensures proper supervision of maintenance personnel through shift supervisors
· Ensures maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner
· Communicates regularly with all maintenance personnel, both individually and regular group meetings, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues and improvements
· Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs
· Tracks, analyses and improves key maintenance parameters such as equipment uptime, maintenance costs, PM compliance, work order effectiveness, etc
· Participates in department objective setting, plan development and performance review of all plant equipment
· Monitors the usage and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and builds a system that initiates reordering when necessary
· Assists in planning and implementing of plant improvements and expansions
· Conducts employee performance reviews in a timely manner based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the maintenance supervisors and technicians
· Works with EH&S manager and plant manager on maintaining safety, health, and environmental company practices. Ensure plant equipment is acceptable to policies and procedures
· Ensures all 5S targets are met for department area and all projects sites that maintenance technicians interact with
· Directs, maintains, and enforces the safety program for the maintenance department; reviews safety of job sites and records personally to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance employees
· Ensures city, county, state, and federal regulations regarding the maintenance department are met at all times
- Coordinates activities with plant operation department

Employees also may be subject to certain environments such as working near loud moving mechanical parts. Noise Level
The noise level in the working environment will be high with traffic and the sound of presses and machinery. Ear protection will be required on the plant floor.

Education/Experience/Certifications:
To effectively carry out duties and responsibilities in the job position the following education, experience, or certifications are preferred:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Maintenance or a related field is strongly preferred
· Associate’s degree in a related field is required
Experience:
· Minimum of 10 years’ experience in metal stamping and/or assembly automotive manufacturing required
· Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing a Maintenance department in an automotive manufacturing environment is required
· Minimum of eight (8) years of experience working in the Maintenance department in an automotive manufacturing environment is required

· Experience with basic computer systems (MS Office)

· Speak effectively with fellow employees
· Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.

Analytical skills:
· Apply mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as basic algebra
· Able to measure KPI’s and use department data to determine strategy to address gaps and failures

· Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
· This position requires the thorough knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronics (PLC), heating and ventilation, air conditioning, welding, machining and fabricating. Stamping equipment maintenance experience strongly preferred
