Pay: 23.91 per hour
Job Summary:
Adecco is currently assistant a local client in Casper, WY seeking an experienced Parts Handler. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing material and products within the fabrication areas. You will work with large pieces of metal and use a forklift and overhead crane to move materials safely and efficiently. A valid forklift certification and experience in handling large materials are required for this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Forklift Inspection & Safety: Perform a Daily Inspection Report of assigned forklift at the beginning of each shift. Submit completed report to the Maintenance department.
- Material Distribution: Read routing documents, parts move tickets, and part numbers to determine the appropriate destination of materials and distribute them using a forklift or overhead crane.
- Part Handling: Transport parts to the proper location in the fabrication area, ensuring proper sequence for assembly by production workers.
- Assembly Support: Deliver parts requested by Supervisors or Leads to the assembly line and distribute materials as needed.
- Storage: Place materials or parts onto pallets, rail carts, or buckets with the forklift and transport them to their correct destination in the shop, craneway, or yard.
- Safety Compliance: Always operate the forklift with safety as a priority. Adhere to all safety practices, such as wearing safety gear, ensuring proper operation of equipment, and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Workplace Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work environment to minimize fire, tripping, and other safety hazards. Report hazards and suggest improvements to maintain a safe workplace.
- Documentation: Follow company policies for tool checkout and work area maintenance procedures.
Other Duties:
- Perform related work as required to support the efficiency of the production process.

Qualifications:
- Forklift certification is required.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a fabrication shop or similar environment, with experience handling large metal pieces.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Must be able to write basic documentation (e.g., Material Issue Tickets).
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Valid Wyoming Driver's License.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Must have depth perception and be able to operate equipment while avoiding hazards.
- Frequent bending, twisting, and stretching to position materials or operate equipment.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, pulling, and moving heavy parts.
Work Environment:
- The work is performed in a heavy steel fabrication facility with frequent exposure to welding, cutting, and grinding operations.
- The temperature in the shop is subject to seasonal conditions, with extreme heat in summer and cold in winter.
- The environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and welding fumes. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is provided to mitigate risks.
Pay Details: 23.91 per hour
