Department Summary
The VP, Partnerships & Business Development will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our partnership strategy to drive growth, innovation, and customer value. This key leadership position will be responsible for developing and nurturing strategic relationships with key partners across various industries, including technology, entertainment, IoT, and beyond. The successful candidate will leverage their deep understanding of the telecommunications landscape and partner ecosystem to identify new opportunities, negotiate agreements, and drive mutually beneficial partnerships that enhance our competitive position and deliver superior value to our customers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic partnerships roadmap aligned with Echostar's business objectives and growth initiatives. Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential partners based on strategic fit, market opportunity, and potential for value creation. Lead negotiations and contract discussions with strategic partners to establish mutually beneficial agreements that drive revenue growth and are aligned with the strategic partner roadmap. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including product development, network, marketing, sales, finance, and legal to ensure alignment and successful execution of partnership initiatives. Manage and cultivate relationships with existing partners to deepen engagement, drive innovation, and maximize value both for and from the partners. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market developments to identify emerging opportunities and threats, and adjust partnership strategy accordingly. Develop and maintain performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and ROI of partnership initiatives, and use insights to optimize partnership strategy and execution. Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to the executive leadership team on partnership opportunities and implications for the business. Build and lead a high-performing team of partnership professionals, providing mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities to drive team success and individual growth.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or related roles within telecommunications, technology, or related industries. Proven track record of developing and executing successful partnership strategies that drive revenue growth, market expansion, and customer value. Strong negotiation and deal-making skills, with experience negotiating complex agreements with strategic partners. Deep understanding of the telecommunications industry, including technology trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory landscape. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to translate market insights into actionable partnership strategies. Demonstrated leadership experience, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $200,000.00/Year - $300,000.00/Year Benefits
