Job Title: Security Guard Duration: Full-Time
Location: Laramie, WY Salary Range: $16 - $23 Hourly

WyoTech is seeking a full-time and part-time candidate to provide a safe and secure campus environment to foster student learning and development. This position will facilitate and encourage respect for law, campus safety, and institutional policy. Duties and Responsibilities:
· Patrol campus facilities to include training buildings and housing buildings.
· Inform WyoTech Housing students of policies and violations.
· Report any violations of the Student Conduct Code to the Housing Director.
· Prepare reports of major violations for student and school files.
· Maintain a professional relationship with students and coworkers with no fraternization with students.
· Respond to fire alarms.
· Answer calls to Housing phone numbers and assist, as necessary.
· Report maintenance issues to maintenance supervisor immediately to ensure prompt service.
· Assist the Resident Life Coordinator and Housing Director in their duties as necessary to ensure a smooth-running department.
· Assist during campus registration and Housing check-in as assigned.
· Assist in down week activities, as needed including cleaning, room assignments, and general office assistance.
Qualifications (A combination of the following experience and training, or the equivalent of, would be qualifying):
· Be solution oriented, resourceful, and proactive with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
· Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
· Advanced ability to work independently and must be able to organize and demonstrate initiative.
· Must be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
· A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
· Excellent customer services skills.
· Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with a consultative style.
· Ability to promote/maintain a cooperative work environment
· Ability to adapt to changing work requirement and priorities that may require overtime or extended hours.
Minimum Requirement
· High school diploma or equivalent from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
· Experience in Safety and Security in any capacity with preference to experience at a high education learning institution.
· Current Driver’s License.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
