Job Description
This position is located in Laramie, WY and will require candidates that have been offered the position to relocate to the surrounding area.
Seeking Welders and Metal fabricators that are looking to become technical instructors at WyoTech, a premier technical trade school located in Laramie, WY. No teaching experience required but helpful. This is an excellent opportunity for an industry professional to expand his or her career through training tomorrow's Welders and Fabricators. The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years’ work experience in the Welding and Fabricating industry.
- Course and Curriculum development, project development, and project management.
- Must be proficient in SMAW GMAW, FCAW, GTAW.
- Must have experience in Custom Fabrication, Reading Blueprints, Cutting Techniques, and CNC usage.
- Positive attitude and willing to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to pick up on software used in an educational environment and be able to efficiently use computers.
- AWS, API, CIC, etc. certifications or other industry certifications are a plus,
- A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance is also offered.
Day-to Day Instructor responsibilities:
- Become proficient in learning/utilizing the grading software.
- Work with students not only in the classroom but the hands-on portion in the shop.
- Be responsible for lecturing on hands-on related materials.
