Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Accounting to join our team. As the Director of Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. This is a key leadership role within our organization, requiring strong financial acumen and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies - Manage the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Provide guidance and support to staff members within the accounting department
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting regulations

Qualifications

  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • CPA required
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and identify solutions
  • Strong ambassadorial and negotiation skills
  • Strong QuickBooks skills
  • Expertise in balance sheet reconciliation and account reconciliation processes
  • 8 years in a similar position
  • Proficiency in accrual accounting principles and practices
  • Experience with accounts receivable management and collections
  • Professional certifications such as ACA, CICM, or ACCA is an advantage
  • Proficient in Software applications such as MS Office, Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Ability to anticipate problems, and recommend solutions
  • You have excellent organizational skills, and work with high levels of autonomy and self-direction.
