Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Master Designer at our location in Davenport IA.The primary function of this position is to provide technical subject matter expertise (SME) for the Actuation product lines which includes Weapons Carriage and Release (WC&R), Missile Actuation, Space Propulsion, Emergency Actuation, and Releases and Restraints (R&R). This role may also provide technical expertise and oversight to the Pressure Technology Solutions (PTS) product line.The expected annual salary range for this role is $63749.97 - $93499.96 a year.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:• Perform modeling, packaging, detailing, and mechanical stack up tolerance analysis.• Drive process improvements to quality and efficiency in the design process.• Help with material selection, review & approval.• Participate and assist senior designer(s) and lead engineers with preparation of design review packages (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR, FDR, etc.) for internal/external customers and management.• Participate and assist in reviewing legacy drawings and initiate transition to product lifecycle management tool (PLM).• Supports Manufacturing and Production with MRB issues.• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions, including with external vendors.• Participate and assist peer and senior engineers, the engineering test lab and production assembly personnel to verify and validate the designs to the various requirements, including through qualification and development testing.• Import and export 3D models that are not native to Pro Engineer into existing designs as well as provide customers with Eaton’s 3D models that are compatible with other CAD software systems.• Possess capability to interpret complex design requirements from 2D sketches prepared by project/senior engineers• Complete Bill-of-Materials within PLM to convey product requirements to organization.• Attend Integrated Product Team meetings to help define and review New Product requirements.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:• Two (2) year degree in Mechanical or Electrical Technology• 2 years Creo or Solidworks experience• Prior GD&T experience• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
