Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer 5
Location: Indiana
Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Engineer 5 will play a key role in supporting New Capital Introduction (NCI) activities, driving continuous improvement efforts, and designing tooling to address challenges in assembly processes. This position will also involve updating and maintaining assembly documentation, including standard work, PFMEA, Control Plan, SFMEA, and more. The engineer will work closely with various teams to ensure smooth operations on the shop floor and improve production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and manage associated CI cards.
- Design and develop tooling to improve assembly processes.
- Review, update, and create assembly documentation, including Standard Work (SW), PFMEA, Control Plan, SFMEA, etc.
- Procure necessary parts for the assembly line through the NexGen system (training provided).
- Collaborate with Tool Shop, Central Shop, and Facility Engineering to track and manage jobs issued through systems like LLumin and B-Zone (training provided).
- Create tool orders (RFE and SWO) for Facility Engineering (training provided).
Technical Skills (Required):
- Proficiency in Microsoft O365.
- Experience with tool design software (e.g., CAD, Creo, Catia).
- Project Management skills.
- Data analysis and root cause analysis experience.
