Non-Management POSITION SUMMARY
Perform duties pertaining to the overall aesthetic maintenance of the property’s grounds, landscaping, gardens, trees and aquatic life. Maintain and troubleshoot irrigation systems. Design, plan, and coordinate plant material installation including annuals, perennials, ground covers, shrubs, trees, turf grass and tropical plants. Inspect the gardens for damage by pests, physical damage and environmental conditions. Report problems to the appropriate supervisor. Assist with the research and selection of new plant materials. Install and maintain aquatic systems. Perform daily grounds maintenance including trash removal, removal of dead plants and area cleaning. Perform foliage bulb color replacements. Maintain and monitor irrigation systems and discuss changes in frequency or duration with the supervisor. Perform special projects as required. Operate turf and landscape power equipment safely on a daily basis. May be required to install, maintain, and remove holiday lights or event decorations.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures. Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries. Complete safety training and certifications. Display clean and professional uniform and personal appearance. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards. Anticipate and address guests’ service needs. Assist individuals with disabilities. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Adhere to quality expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move at a speed that is required to respond to work situations (e.g., run, walk, jog). Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print). Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects). Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and down stairs and/or service ramps. Move up and down a ladder. Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education:
