Project Delivery Director – Wealth Management Technology Solutions
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Wealth Management Technology Solutions is responsible for the development, delivery, security, and maintenance of technology solutions for the RBC Wealth Management businesses. Our team prides itself on delivering best in class solutions that delight our stakeholders and gain industry recognition.
The Project/Program Management Director (Delivery Director) manages a delivery team (project management, scrum masters, project management associates) with accountability for a portfolio of delivery work. This role, in partnership with the applicable business owner, leads, directs and oversees execution of planning, delivery and implementation to ensure enterprise-wide strategic goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance with business roadmaps and within approved time frames, scope and budget. They are the thought leader behind how delivery is accomplished and how their space is organized to effectively ensure quality results that achieve the business objectives and needs.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Leads a team of delivery professionals with accountability for execution within their assigned portfolio of products/capabilities.
Conducts project(s)/program(s) in accordance with standard project management discipline, consistently following RBC’s Enterprise Initiatve Management Framework.
Champions strong project/program governance and execution assurance processes with an eye toward efficiency and continuous improvement.
Manages overall portfolio delivery and financials in accordance with business executive priorities.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
Undergraduate degree coupled with change management experience in complex programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.
Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.
Strong organizational, project management and time management capabilities.
A strong understanding of technology and/or financial services industry.
Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Nice-to-have :
Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly-traded corporation
Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers
Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
