Job Description
A Warehouse Supervisor performs general warehouse duties, facility maintenance and equipment maintenance. This person may travel to vendor locations and pick up equipment, material and parts and makes deliveries as necessary to customers and internal employees. Occasionally assists company employees in lifting, loading and unloading material. Performs all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
Work Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday with one-hour lunch break.
Percent Travel: 30%
General Requirements:
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Criminal background check is required
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with the company safety policy regarding accidents and traffic violations. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Represent our company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities.
- Must be able to safely operate forklift or other material handling equipment as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to load and unload heavy and bulky cargo to and from vehicles and trailers.
- Must be able to see and respond to hazardous situations.
- Must be able to respond quickly to sounds
Work Environment/Conditions:
- Occasional loading and unloading will be performed outdoors in hot, cold and occasionally wet or inclement conditions.
- Periodic, local travel is required. No overnight travel is required.
- Must adhere to all company and regulatory safety standards
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload material as it is delivered to warehouse.
- Verify material received matches packing slips
- Verify material received is in good condition and undamaged
- Ensure all material received is properly protected, labeled and organized
- Deliver packing slips and invoices to admin staff
- Make deliveries as directed to jobs sites, vendors, and subcontractors
- Pickup equipment, material and parts from Vendors as directed
- Keep company tools and equipment organized
- Perform maintenance and repairs to company tools and equipment
- May perform vehicle and trailer maintenance and repair
- Assist in maintaining appearance of company facility:
- Clean and sweep warehouse daily
- Empty trash containers in shop and common areas on a regular basis
- Organize surplus material and keep clutter to a minimum
- Keep kitchen/breakroom clean. Empty trash container on a daily basis
- Pickup trash and debris around the property
Safety:
