POSITION SUMMARY
Supervises hourly Staff; organizes and monitors work flow. They lead inspections, projects, and data entry. They are directly responsible for training all hourly team members on annual safety any food safety training. The annual safety and food safety training is broken down into a monthly calendar.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· This is a 9 hour a day function except when weekend and daily overtime is required.
· Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
· Maintains staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
· Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
· Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
· Responsible to put together the following shifts shop packets and have available for the production team prior to their arrival.
· Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
· Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
· Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
· Creates systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and personnel requirements; implementing change.
· Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
· Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
· Perform job in a safe and orderly manner, (Avoid Accident)
· You may be assigned by your Manager to perform other duties from time to time.

• Work safely:
• Comply with all safety rules
- Use proper ergonomics like lifting properly; don’t overextend or overexert yourself; ask for help
- Use proper standard operating procedures to operate machines, tool, or equipment; if you don’t know how to use a machine, tool, or equipment properly, don’t use it; ask your manager for the proper training
- Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Report unsafe behavior or work environment to management immediately
• Report incidents (near misses) or injuries immediately (by the end of shift for specific Injuries)
• Coach co-workers who are working unsafely
• Help maintain good housekeeping.
• Complete all training requirements
• Attend mandatory safety meetings
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience preferred, but not a requirement
Experience: 2 year related food manufacturing experience preferred.
Training Requirements:
· Training in GMP’s. Experience in food handling
· General work place Safety Training.
· Basic reading and mathematics skills.
· Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Word, Excel, and other trade related tools is a mandatory.
· Ability to communicate effectively orally and written with other employees and Staff.
· Maintain confidentiality in daily operations.
· Conduct daily duties in a professional appearance and manner
· Bilingual a plus
Physical Demands:
· These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for a Supervisor to successfully perform the essential functions.
· 60 to 70% of supervisors time will be on their feet monitoring the floor.
· Continual walking and standing for the duration of the shift.
Work Environment:
· The production/warehouse area is a work area with moderate to high noise levels, and intermediate temperature changes where the employee is exposed to different types of fast-moving equipment.
· Supervisors will be in an environment where they will need to be able to work well in a group and feel comfortable working with other departments during the shift.
· Supervisors have occasional exposure to staff and public and private representatives reviewing the production process
