Job Description
Position Summary:
The Materials Review Board (MRB) Clinic Lead’s primary responsibility will be to oversee the Quality Clinic serving as a hands-on problem solver taking on a dynamic approach to inspecting, evaluating parts for acceptability, disposition, and rework, including corrective actions, and customer submittals.
The Materials Review Board (MRB) Clinic Lead acts as a safeguard to confirm that high quality products meet and/or exceed customer requirements, ensuring that Phoenix Manufacturing, Inc.’s flight critical aerospace components are delivered to specifications. The role will require a team orientated individual who can lead the quality inspection team in their departmental goes while embodying the company values of Passion, Integrity, Determination, and Empathy.

Essential Functions:

· Functionally lead the Quality Clinic, including reviewing and dispositioning nonconforming material.
· Lead and assist on internal, customer, and supplier corrective actions.
· Lead of the corrective action board.
· Interface with customers and suppliers on quality issues. Submit deviation requests to customers.
· Become the main point of contact with suppliers on quality issues.
· Interpret engineering drawings and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and capability requirements.
· Work with Engineering and shop floor personnel to rework non-conforming products.
· Work within ERP Globalshop system to create Rework sequences.
· Interconnect with the Production/Shop Floor management personnel on quality issues and corrective actions.
· Reports any safety violation equipment misuse and/or improperly performed work to supervisor.
· Represents Quality Department on cross-functional teams, safety committees, quality audits, or other in-house committees.
· Inspect parts independently with a high level of integrity to verify product conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
· Responsible for ensuring parts and assemblies, or tools are consistent with company and customer supplied quality assurance standards.
· Perform routine and complex inspection and quality activities involved in the manufacturing and development of products and processes, dimensional layout inspection and first article verification.
· Inspects in-process and finished products by confirming product meets drawings and specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; documenting and communicating required corrections and ensuring defective product is not delivered to the customer.
· Utilize measuring devices to gauge and measure proper specification and conformity of manufactured parts and determine necessary steps to correct non-conformities.
· Ensure that standard procedures are followed in all aspects of work, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete.
· Prevent the recurrence of nonconformities by identification, segregation, reporting, initiating corrective action and verifying the corrective action.
· Provide technical input in areas that involve process inspection methods and acceptance criteria to Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing as required.
· Maintain a clean work environment (including assigned storage and cleaning duties) in full compliance with all internal, customer and government regulations.
· Participate in the operation of and compliance with all safety, hazardous material handling, and disposal requirements in accordance with government regulations and company procedures.
· Regular verbal or written communication to internal and external stakeholders, customers, or vendors utilizing both electronic and analog systems.
· Utilization of office machines including copiers, scanners, phone systems, computers (including email), and other standard equipment.
· Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment with Manufacturing, Operations, and Production Control.
· Maintains positive, team relationship with internal and external customers, as well as co-workers.??
· Assist with other Inspection Department functions, as required.
· Assist in internal, customer, and third-party audits, as required.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:Experience, Education and Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent Education required.
· Minimum of five (5) years of Manufacturing and Quality Control experience in Aerospace or other complex manufacturing industry with exacting/demanding requirements.
· Experience working in AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems in a manufacturing environment.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word) or related software.
· Proficient with ERP systems (Global Shop).
· Understanding of common industry specifications (material, coating/plating, NDT, etc.)
· Understanding of complex aerospace blueprints, technical charts, and specification sheets.
· Ability to read and follow detailed instructions, work from sketches, and use simple measuring instruments such as tape measures, micrometers, and vernier gages.
· Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, internally and externally.
· Ability to adapt, prioritize, multi-task, and remain flexible to changes; responds with a sense of urgency.
· Strong knowledge of GD&T, reading blueprints and the ability to interpret them accurately.

Position requires sitting for extended periods of time and repetitive data entry. Ability to access all areas of the facility.
Work Environment:
This job operates in both a professional office and manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. The pace is rapid and dynamic, multi-task oriented with short notice/changing deadlines. Accuracy and thoroughness/follow-through is very important.
