Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:

Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance, setting goals, and conducting regular performance evaluations.

Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end close processes.

Prepare and review financial statements and management reports, providing insights to executive leadership.

Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to track financial performance.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and all relevant accounting standards.

Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting department and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.

Collaborate with HR and other departments to maintain an accurate payroll and benefits record, including processing and reviewing accruals.

Support the finance director in strategic planning, including analysis of growth opportunities and financial trends.

Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:

Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Masters or CPA preferred).

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly.

Demonstrated experience in process improvement, team management, and strategic planning.
