Our rapidly growing client is seeking a skilled
Staff Accountant
to join their dynamic accounting team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to their financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Month-End Close:
Conduct detailed reconciliations for various accounts, including cash, inventory, prepaids, liabilities, debt, and intercompany balances.
Prepare and post accurate journal entries, both recurring and non-recurring.
Oversee sales and use tax compliance, including monitoring collections, filings, and payments.
Research and understand complex state tax regulations.
Analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide insights.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance, comparing actuals to budgets and prior periods.
Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.
Audits & Compliance:
Serve as the primary contact for sales and use tax audits, collaborating with state auditors and providing necessary documentation.
Support annual financial statement audits, providing information and analysis to external auditors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
2+ years of relevant accounting experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems)
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Location: Vancouver, WA - Hybrid flexibility Salary: 58,000-68,640
