The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for conducting financial due diligence and valuations. This role involves analyzing financial statements, assessing the viability of potential acquisitions, and supporting strategic investment decisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience in valuations, and a deep understanding of the strategic analysis.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst:
Due Diligence : Lead financial due diligence efforts on potential acquisitions and mergers, including reviewing financial statements, assessing key risks, and validating financial projections.
Valuations : Conduct in-depth financial valuations of target companies, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis.
Financial Modeling : Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, track performance, and assess potential outcomes.
Market Research : Conduct industry research to evaluate healthcare market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to support investment recommendations.
Reporting : Prepare detailed financial reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior leadership and stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, operations, and compliance, to ensure comprehensive due diligence and accurate valuation assessments.
Risk Assessment : Identify and evaluate financial and operational risks related to potential transactions and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
Post-Transaction Analysis : Support post-transaction integration efforts by monitoring financial performance and comparing results to initial projections.
Qualifications of the Senior Financial Analyst:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CFA is a plus).
3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, due diligence, or valuation, preferably in the healthcare sector.
Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial modeling techniques.
Experience with valuation methodologies, including DCF, comparable analysis, and precedent transactions.
Proficiency in financial modeling tools such as Excel and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of the healthcare industry, including regulatory frameworks and key market drivers, is preferred.
