The Emergency Department Registered Nurse initiates a plan of care based on identified medical and nursing diagnosis which is consistent with knowledge of illnesses, injuries, diseases, human behavior, and outlined standards of care. He/she directs and coordinates with other departments and ancillary personnel to provide a safe environment and a high standard of quality care. The Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process of planning, directing, and evaluating the nursing care. The Emergency Department Registered Nurse relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care, and monitors satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing areas to promote a safe environment and a high standard of quality care. State of California Registered Nurse license. American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC certifications required. NRP certification preferred. Minimum of four years Emergency Room Nurse experience required. Schedule Information
