Director of Purchased Services Contracts . This role is integral to driving industry-leading agreements within a group purchasing organization (GPO) setting, ensuring exceptional pricing and contract terms for members. The Director will spearhead efforts to enhance financial value, requiring a robust skill set in negotiation, risk mitigation, and contract strategy development.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Independently plan and execute timelines for Purchased Services projects, managing priorities efficiently and maintaining high-quality standards. Category Knowledge:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of specific Purchased Services categories, building rapport with end-users and staying informed on industry trends. Supplier Knowledge:
Leverage supplier insights to strategize effectively, assess market direction, and evaluate emerging suppliers and technologies. Strategy Development and Risk Mitigation:
Formulate and present contract strategies aligned with GPO and member needs, managing risks and adapting strategies as needed. Sourcing Process Oversight:
Lead the entire sourcing process from market research to contract launch, delivering compelling presentations and achieving stakeholder buy-in. Supplier and Customer Relationship Management:
Cultivate strong supplier relationships, oversee business reviews, and maintain frequent, impactful interactions with GPO members. Communications:
Effectively communicate with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams, facilitating productive dialogue on strategy, bid processes, and negotiation progress. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required 7+ years of experience in healthcare contracting Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and negotiation skills Exceptional presentation abilities
