OVERVIEW OF THE ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST ROLE:
Process and review invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies with vendors.
Manage and update vendor accounts, including verification of payment terms and contact information.
Collaborate with internal departments to obtain approvals and documentation for payments.
Assist in month-end close activities related to accounts payable.
Prepare AP reports and assist with audits as necessary.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST:
Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting function.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
