Responsibilities of Purchasing Manager:
Lead, develop, and support a team of at least two Buyers.
Lead supplier sourcing and negotiations for Military components
Implement supplier agreements as required.
Perform Make vs. Buy analysis.
Actively participate/lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
Measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure continued success towards local and corporate goals - Purchase price Variance (PPV), Supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD), Freight Spend
Second source critical suppliers for make components.
Track commodity trends and interface with Military Sales team to ensure costs align to support expected margin for contracts.
Manage safety stock, lead-times, MOQs for assigned locations.
Support the Corporate SIOP process as required.
Support ISO 9001& AS-9100 audits
Travel is required with this position.
Preferred Experience of Purchasing Manager:
5+ years supervisory experience required, Supply Chain or Purchasing
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 & AS-9100 is required.
ERP/MRP experience (i.e. Made2Manage, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle)
DFARS/FAR experience
Government sourcing contract experience
Experience in - machined parts, sheet metal, cable, and connectors
Good communication skills both written and verbal.
Process oriented, high-level sense of urgency
Good business sense and capability to develop a vision and/or strategy
