Business Systems Analyst

Key Position Responsibilities
Help determine operational objectives by studying multiple departmental business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements.
Work with stakeholders to record current business processes & procedures and provide guidance and support on developing new ones, for each functional area covered by the ERP.
Work with project team, vendors, and stakeholders to identify, record, and disseminate all aspects of change management.
Analyze and evaluate business processes.
Analyze business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper systems requirements specifications.
Consult with personnel from various departments to identify areas for the development of technical solutions to automate and/or improve business processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders.
Improve operational efficiency.
Bridge communication between business users and IT teams and maintaining ongoing communication with management.
Monitor and report on the progress of business initiatives and provide guidance and support to other business analysts.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidate must be detail oriented.
Strong well-developed analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
Proven track record of successfully analyzing and documenting complex business processes and identifying areas for improvement.
Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and use cases.
Experience in creating comprehensive and clear documentation.
Proficiency in modeling techniques, requirements gathering, and documentation.
Proficiency in business modeling and analysis tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucid Chart, or similar.
Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to elicit requirements.
Experience in translating business requirements into detailed system specifications.
Ability to create process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and other relevant documentation.
Ability to plan, schedule and conduct meetings, as well as draft agendas and meeting minutes.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively with project managers and development teams.
Familiarity with collaboration tools and project management software.
Ability to interact and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff.
Experience in presenting analysis findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong background in at least one area: Fiscal, IT, HR.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in analysis implementation (10 years preferred).
Additional Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with a focus on IT development projects.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
Database Querying (SQL, Oracle and/or Crystal).
Understanding of system development life cycle (SDLC).
Understanding of quality assurance processes and methodologies.
Familiarity with project management concepts and practices.
Task entry and tracking via Jira.
