Position Summary
As Branch Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of crews and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient service delivery to customers. This includes leading on-site employee training and managing all branch activities. Your leadership will be crucial in aligning corporate objectives with customer demands while optimizing local resources.
We are looking for a hands-on operational leader with strong financial acumen and a customer-centric approach. You will balance branch operations with corporate goals, working directly in the field. Key responsibilities include managing production, financial performance, shop activities, customer relationships, and collaborating with departments such as estimating and accounting to ensure project success. You will be responsible for all branch functions, including safety, staffing, production, inventory management, revenue, and profitability.
A solid background in DOT construction and traffic control operations is essential. The ideal candidate will work closely with business line managers to ensure projects are executed efficiently. You will also oversee financial reporting, forecasting, and safety compliance, ensuring that personnel and resources are effectively managed to meet project objectives. (not required for this branch)
Key Responsibilities
Manage crews and equipment in remote locations, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Communicate effectively with municipalities and customers, handling project notifications, securing permits, and ensuring compliance with ordinances.
Exercise independent judgment in problem-solving and operational decisions.
Schedule employees, manage personnel on projects, and ensure timely completion of paperwork.
Coordinate labor needs and schedule projects efficiently and cost-effectively.
Oversee safety, DOT compliance, and employee training, ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards.
Maintain financial reporting systems for production and revenue forecasting.
Travel as needed to ensure the successful execution of branch operations.
Be available for on-call duties, including evenings, weekends, and overnight work as required.

Knowledge And Skills In-depth understanding of state specifications for devices and materials, particularly in traffic control and safety. Proven involvement in industry trade associations or collaborations with state DOTs. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and financial statements such as balance sheets and profit & loss reports.
Education And Experience Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Minimum 15 years of experience in traffic control and safety, with extensive fieldwork and formal industry training is preferred. At least 8 years of supervisory or management experience, with a proven track record in overseeing large-scale operations. EOE Statement
