Logistics Manager

Position Overview: The Logistics Manager oversees the transportation, shipping, receiving, customs compliance, and inventory operations to ensure seamless, cost-effective movement of goods. This role focuses on maintaining customer satisfaction, optimizing processes, and leading warehouse and logistics teams to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics & Transportation Make strategic decisions on air and ocean transportation, balancing customer needs with cost efficiency. Negotiate contracts with freight forwarders, brokers, and carriers to secure favorable terms and reliable services. Track shipments, coordinate schedules, and obtain proof of delivery for direct and consolidated shipments. Evaluate and interpret traffic and customs matters, including freight rates, tariff clarifications, duty drawbacks, TIBs, and customs appeals. Process and resolve damage claims and invoicing disputes with carriers and insurance companies. Ensure proper documentation, routing, and compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations. Shipping & Receiving

Oversee the receiving of incoming freight and ensure proper storage and inventory management. Coordinate and supervise the shipping of goods, ensuring accurate packaging, labeling, and documentation. Inspect incoming shipments for quality and accuracy, and address any discrepancies with suppliers or carriers. Manage the building and preparation of crates for outgoing shipments, ensuring materials are secure and compliant with regulations. Develop and implement efficient workflows for shipping and receiving operations to minimize delays and errors. Warehouse Operations & Inventory

Maintain accurate inventory records through routine counts and audits, ensuring stock levels meet production and customer needs. Supervise the storage of parts and materials in a clean, safe, and organized manner. Oversee the picking and reserving of parts for assembly and ensure timely fulfillment of orders. Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts to support daily operations. Monitor and maintain warehouse bins, equipment, and overall cleanliness to meet safety standards.

salary: $83,500 - $90,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM education: No Degree Required
